Downtown Soccer Club announced today that it has been admitted to, and will participate in, the Southern California Developmental Soccer League for the Fall 2013 Season. The move to the SCDSL, regarded as the premier gaming circuit in Southern California, provides further validation of the extraordinary efforts of the DSC board and staff to bring access to the highest levels of competition to all players in central Los Angeles. DSC will field 18 teams in the SCDSL Fall Season including several competing with many USSF Developmental Academies in SCDSL’s prestigious Flight 1.
The SCDSL was created in 2011 to serve the needs of clubs looking to have the ability to control player and team environments. The SCDSL platform and format were designed collectively by coaching directors from some of the most respected youth clubs in the country with an emphasis on providing a match day environment conducive to promoting player development. The principal mission of the SCDSL is to allow all participating clubs to have the freedom to make decisions that are in the best interest of all their players and to place the League’s priority first and foremost on true player development.
